Meet your Designer

Hi! I’m Sharon. I’ve been designing and planting commercial and residential container gardens on the north side of Chicago since 2007. What began as a hobby with my daughters and friends has grown into an obsession to share my love of the outdoors and seasonal container gardening with everyone I meet.

Commercial clients incorporate container gardens into the patio spaces of their restaurants and stores to welcome customers and create a unique, dining or shopping experience for their patrons. Residential clients find container gardening to be an amazing way to connect with local plants, the changing seasons, and like-minded creative people of all ages in the community.

I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned over the years, spread my love of gardening, and meet more hibernating gardeners that are just waiting to blossom.

Planter Options

1 Planter

A single planter by the door is the perfect way to add a little seasonal flora. Each season, you’ll receive a tall statement plant, some mid-height color as well as something to trail down the front of your container.

2 Planters

Want a little more? Double the impact with two matching containers.

Commerical and Residential Pricing Options Available

Design and delivery starts at $50 for up to three containers in a common space plus the price of plants. Your designer will work with you to come up with the perfect combination for your space and your wallet.

Seasonal planting tip: Water

The early days of summer in Chicago often come with cooler nights. Keep an eye on your soil to determine when your container garden needs water. By the end of the summer, you’ll likely water every day. When the top two inches of soil are dry, gently pour water into the soil. Don’t dump from above or the plants can become damaged and the flowers can break off. Allow it to flow through the container and then repeat.

From Our Blog

Container gardens need water even during the colder months. Mother Nature doesn’t always provide enough water and snow to keep soil from drying out so don’t forget to water once a week until the ground freezes. Your rooted plants and even your fresh cut greens will last significantly longer into spring if you keep them […]

It’s time to start thinking about bulbs. Many of the most popular flowers for spring are bulbs planting in the fall. We like to plant bulbs in natural looking clusters for continued color throughout spring. First, the grape hyacinths, crocuses, and snowdrops pop up, then, the daffodils, and last the tulips. Planting a variety of […]

The dog days of summer are quickly approaching and your container garden should be filling in and flourishing. In these really hot days, don’t forget to water. You might even need to water twice a day…once in the morning and again in the evening. If you go out of town, have someone come check on […]
